Shockingly good for the pricepoint

This is my first hobbyist mechanical keyboard (not counting razer blackwidow!), and I must say that I am very impressed. It sounds and feels amazing straight out of the factory. The only issue I have run into is the same that Jared mentioned in his review. If you turn the knob by one notch there is only a 50% chance of it registering the input. This would be annoying had I remapped the knob to other functions (e.g. horizontal scroll for logic pro), however since I am only using it for volume it doesn't bother me too much.

Also thank you Keychron for treating your UK customers right :) (if you know then you know).

Not so space grey

Great keyboard, only reason I went for this over the GMMK pro was the space grey color offered. To my surprise this was far from space grey and the product photos. Think mac book silver, If i would have known this i probably would've just got the black from glorious instead of waiting longer for this. Keychron you need to update your product photos or change the name space grey, I'm sure there's many people who got the space grey expecting grey and not this crappy light silver. Big let down.

Great board

Great board, but if i knew that the cable is not the coiled one, i would get another one from the Q1 accessories. Really smooth board for a fully asseblemed out of the factory.

Major scratches on the top aluminum case.

I love the solid build of the keyboard; however, I got a defect unit with multiple deep scratches on the top case.
The scratches can be seen pretty easily on black model.

The best keyboard

Loved the weight, the springy keycaps and the clicky sound it makes. Truely one of the best keyboard available on the market.

The design quality will certainly outlast your grand child.

What's the difference between the Q1 Knob version and the normal Q1 version?

#1. An added knob.
#2. Knob version uses the Gateron G Pro switches instead of the Gateron Phantom switches.
#3. Double-Gasket Design with extra silicone gaskets installed between the top and bottom cases for an improved sound profile.
#4. A brand new ultra-low-power Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 MCU which is powerful, and armed with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers.
#5. Slightly thicker bottom case to make the Q1 heavier, sturdier, and has much less ping noise.
#6. Steel plate instead of an aluminum plate, making the board heavier and sturdier.
#7. The top case has sharper corners to make it much more compatible with third-party keycaps.
#8. Abandoned the Coiled Aviator Cable to save some costs.
#9. New screw-in PCB stabilizer.
#10. Ten USD more in price than the normal knobless version.

Please note that the knob color may be slightly different with the case (the blue and grey only) as these parts are manufactured separately.

Double-Gasket Design

Double Gasket Design is an industry innovative structure. In addition to the gaskets on the plates, we added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases. It significantly reduces the resonance between the metals, which in return, reduces the noise of the impacted metals. This Double-Gasket Structure allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and make the overall typing sound better.
