This is my first mechanical keyboard. I'm satisfied. The quality is great. After several days with this keyboard, it's excruciation of using MacBook's keyboard :)
This keyboard is great for the price! very good budget TKL keyboard with all of its features and compact size. It is very customizable and pleasant to use. I am only beginning to get into custom boards and this was my first one ever. I am quite impressed with the quality put into this board! I also like that there is support for 5 pin switches as well. Hot swapping is quite easy and saves a ton of time rather than soldering. RGB is really nice and easy to use. Although, not as bright as I wanted but that's fine since it's not a big issue. Bluetooth works very well and is very easy to set up. The side USB C port is a bit odd but it's fine since it isn't in the way for my setup. Some people say that the height is quite tall but for me it isn't much of a problem as I could also buy a wrist rest if needed. It is also quite heavy which makes it feel more premium. I've replaced the keycaps with PBT pudding keycaps which makes the typing experience even better. My extended mousepad also helps in dampening the sound which I quite like. I like the fact that the stabilizers are also factory-lubed but I find that the spacebar stabilizers were a bit over lubed, making it a bit mushy. Typing wise, this takes the cake. All of my previous gaming keyboards couldn't compare to the Keychron K8. Despite the mushy spacebar, this is overall a good beginning TKL keyboard!
The keyboard is great, very sturdy and stable, the ability to connect via Bluetooth and via the very good included USB cable is a bless.
It connects right away also when you change source and with the suggested program I have changed some key value very easily! I higly recommend it
I love the keyboards that I've bought from these guys. Previoulsy I was a Razer user, and then tried my hand at some of the (Mass)Drop keyboards and these are the first ones that feel complete.
For reference I've bought nothing but the aluminum ones with hot swappable switches to me this is the peak ideal of why you would buy a mechanical keyboard and being able to swap switches for feel or repair as your tastes change is huge to me.
My only complaint is that the plastic of the keys is a little cheap feeling and they don't let much light through their lettering. I personally put a new set of key caps with dampeners installed in them and that made this a 5 star + keyboard.
This is my first TKL and Keychron Keyboard. Beyond expectation. Excellent quality but affordable price. Aluminum frame gives cool and solid feedback. Great fun to see 18 types of RGB. Purchased 2 more Keychron Keyboards.
