For people interested into keychron keyboards, this one is a really good pick. It has a lot of features, such as being wireless, the rgb is very clean, and the OSA keycaps really gives a premium feel, while also being really, really nice to type on. I picked brown switches, and they are all what I expected them to be, being quite silent while still having the noticeable tacticle feedback. Oh and the keyboard overall looks so nice! The color scheme is very pleasant.
Still quite a pricey keyboard though, but a good investment nonetheless. I'm definitely having a blast typing on this ! VIA offers a variety of options which is an advantage in case you want to use macros, as every key is programmable. The windows/mac versatility makes no one forgotten.
In case you're interested into buying one, you might want to add a wrist rest. I believe the ones available on this website suits the keyboard very well, but unfortunately they were out of stock when I ordered mine.
I type a LOT for work, and love custom keyboards to get the best type-feel and personalization. I used the VIA software to add a "press and hold" function to the Caps Lock to quickly access a layer, then used that alternative layer to add arrow keys to the IKJL keys (for Up, Down, Left, and Right). It was surprisingly easy to do.
I swapped the switches for Kaihl Box Whites, which are a personal preference. I'm sure the blues work fine, but I'm a huge fan of the stability in the box switches. I have some Jades to try for fun, but may buy a second of these for that purpose. I also swapped the keycaps for puddings for added lighting goodness.
Speaking of lighting, the only problem I am having is that my favorite light effect (Pixel_Rain) breaks when the keyboard enters sleep (meaning, won't wake from sleep and won't animate when switched from another effect). I can change effects when it does break, or just restart the keyboard. I'm sure once there is an official firmware this will get addressed.
I absolutely love this keyboard. It is the third custom board I've purchased and it has replaced my g916TKL as my daily driver. If you are a typist and need the best, look no further.
Just as the keyboard itself I have 0 bad things to say about it, however that could be because I dont have the experience with keyboards to note anything bad about it.
However specifically about the switches (gateron pro red) the pre-lube job is fairly inconsistent to the point were some switches sound completely different (as in one switch can be lubed well, and another is either not lubed at all or very light)
This is my first expensive keyboard (higher than 50) and I love it. The sound is really satisfying and I don't notice any latency, I tested the Bluetooth mode and it worked fine, but I mostly use the wired version. The RGB is very clean and its overall a really good keyboard. I recommend it for everyone. Especially for people that have low experience in buying keyboards and want a very good one.
I did a lot of research on various keyboards before buying this one. It's hard to get a good "feel" from youtube videos, but I had seen enough to know that I wanted to take a chance on this one. I am really glad I found it. It truly had everything I was looking for (specifically QMK firmware, bluetooth wireless, and at least 75% board [I didn't want the excess of the numpad since I use it so infrequently]). I chose the Gateron brown switches; the feel and sound of this keyboard are amazing. I chose the aluminum frame, and the keyboard is very sturdy. It does weigh very close to 3 pounds though, so it is beefy. I am using it on my lap, but most people will probably use a desk or tray like a normal person and would never notice. I have had it for about 2 weeks now and go out of my way to use it every chance I can.
