How to Disassemble the Keychron M5 Mouse
If everything works fine with your mouse, it is not recommended to try this at home as it can risk injuries and damage caused by disassembling. Disassembling the M5 will void its returns and warranty.
Step 1: Please insert the tip of a screwdriver into the gap at the back end of the clicker to lift it up, then remove the clicker from the front end. Follow the same instruction for both clickers. (Layer a tissue or a piece of cloth between the gap to prevent scratch marks)


Step 2: If you want to lubricate the scrolling wheel, apply a small amount of lubricant to the scrolling wheel with a brush as indicated, then gently scroll back and forth to distribute it evenly. If not, use the screwdriver to unscrew the four screws as indicated below.


Step 3: Peel off two stickers covering the bottom panels.

Step 4: Then unscrew four screws as indicated below.

Step 5: Separate the bottom outer casing from the main body.

Step 6: Next, split the main body so it’s clearly separated by the middle gap.

Step 7: Use the screwdriver to unscrew four screws around the scrolling wheel.

Step 8: Replace a new scrolling wheel.

Step 9: After changing or lubricating the scrolling wheel, assemble everything back together and reinstall the clicker starting with the front end first, then push the back end into the slots.
